This year Easter falls on Sunday 5th April. The six weeks prior to Easter, known as Lent, is a time of inner reflection and spiritual focus. During this time the Abbey Church hosts an early Communion Service each Wednesday at 6.00 am. The Sunday before Easter is Palm Sunday and our service includes a Procession to celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.  During Holy Week services are held to follow the last days and hours of the life of Christ culminating with a three-hour service in which we remember the time that Jesus hung on the Cross.

Our Easter celebration commences with a sunrise service at 6.00 am which is followed by Holy Communion at 9.30 am.
